The hardest part of building a still is making the connection between your kettle and the column. We did the hard part for you. We silver brazed a 3″ 304 Stainless Steel ferrule onto 3″ heavy duty type M copper pipe.
We do not use cheap, thin walled Drain Waste Vent (DWV) pipe on our stills.
These do it yourself column kits include a stainless steel tri-clamp & gasket and come in lengths of 1, 2, and 3 feet.
This is heavy duty type M pipe, not cheap DWV (Drain Waste Vent) pipe that some of our competitors use. For our silver brazing we use 56% food grade silver – guaranteed to be safe. The column kits will fit on modern beer kegs if you use a 2″ x 3″ adapter and also fits commercially available 3″ kettles.
